A young mother of one was murdered on Wednesday night in an attack that was allegedly carried out by her former partner, who police say fatally stabbed her in a jealous rage.
Lunisa Peters, 24, was killed at her aunt’s Lot 97 Supenaam Public Road, Essequibo Coast home, where she had moved after breaking up with her ex, with whom she had been living at Golden Fleece.
According to a Guyana Police Force statement, the attack was carried out around 11.30 pm on Wednesday by the suspect, who was visiting at the time.
