A Kilcoy, Corentyne fisherman was yesterday charged with killing his former friend, Alexander Yhap at Kilcoy, Corentyne last week.
The accused, Arjune Mohabir, 22, a fisherman of Lot 80 Kilcoy Squatting Area, appeared at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Peter Hugh, who read the charge which alleges that at Kilcoy Squatting Area he unlawfully killed Yhap.
Mohabir, who was not required to enter a plea was placed on $250,000 bail and will return to the Albion Magistrate’s Court today.
