Nandu, Ramlal double-century stand in vain

Matthew Nandu (left) stroked 167 and picked up three wickets while Theron Ramlal made 76 to go with his two wickets but it was all in vain as Kaieteur CC lost to Redhawks by 68 runs.

Guyana under-17 batsman, Matthew Nandu, continued his purple patch on Saturday as he stroked 167 during a double century opening stand with Theron Ramlal.

Playing in the Brampton Etobicoke and District Cricket League Premier Division, Kaieteur Cricket Club suffered a 68-run loss to Redhawks despite the efforts of Nandu and Ramlal.

Redhawks won the toss and opted to bat. They were kept to 376 all out in 49.2 overs but it was enough to secure victory as Kaieteur CC were limited to 308 for five when their overs expired. This is the second loss in the tournament for Kaieteur CC and both came at the hands of the Redhawks.
