A Guyanese woman has drowned after a boating mishap near the south eastern coast of Saint Maarten just over a week ago.
According to a Saint Martin News Network report, Guyanese couple Andrea and Vish Singh, who went fishing in Back Bay, found themselves in difficulty due to the rough seas and were swept off the rocks. Andrea drowned as a result, while Vish was reported to have suffered severe injuries.
The report explained that on September 19th, the Coast Guard received information from the St. Maarten police, which related that the couple were in a drowning situation in the water at Back Bay.
