President of the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA), Orin Ferrier says he will not seek re-election at the WDFA’s Electoral Congress, scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.
According to Ferrier, who was elected to office in 2015, the time is right for the association to acquire new leadership via its election in 2021.
He said, “The election is supposed to be held next year and I wouldn’t be figuring in any election for the next term. I have done enough in my stint and I will let someone else take the reins, someone younger with more energy. I think I have done my stint when I took the reins in West Demerara.”
