Curtly Ambrose has given his seal of approval for his long-time friend, Courtney Walsh to succeed as coach of the West Indies Women’s team.

Former West Indies pacer, Curtly Ambrose, is backing his once bowling partner, Courtney Walsh, to deliver as West Indies Women head coach.

With 95 Test together and 762 wickets between them from 1988 to 2000, Ambrose spoke highly of the other half of what was considered one of the greatest new-ball opening pair ever, during the Mason and Guest show earlier this week.

“When I learnt of his appointment I called him straight away to offer my congratulations and I am very, very happy for him,” Ambrose reflected whilst giving Walsh his stamp of approval.
