The Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) is now supplying residents of Esau and Jacob, Mahaicony, in Region Five, with potable water.
The utility company on Friday credited an intervention by Minister within the Ministry of Housing and Water Susan Rodrigues with ensuring the new supply to residents following a number of failed attempts in recent years.
GWI said in a statement that on Friday, October 8th, the Minister along with Permanent Secretary Andre Ally and a team of GWI and regional officials visited the area to get a firsthand look at the works undertaken.
