This route 44 minibus found itself in an unusual position after it rolled away from its parking spot at the Beterverwagting bus park yesterday afternoon.
Stabroek News understands that the minibus was in neutral gear when it rolled backward across the trench and onto a length of iron pipe. In a video posted on social media, persons were heard saying that the brakes also failed. The minibus was stuck across the trench for some time while being partially supported by a utility pole guy wire.
Public-spirited persons at the bus park were able to locate a ladder and they assisted passengers to exit from the bus.
No one was hurt or injured in the incident.
