Merundoi Inc Director Margaret Lawrence, who recently won GTT’s ‘Pinktober TikTok challenge,’ has donated her $20,000 cash prize to a cancer patient for treatment.
According to GTT, Lawrence said her winning entry was a last-minute production put together by her prayer group to assist a cancer patient who needs radiation and therapy. “Winning this challenge has shown us that God answers our prayers,” she was quoted as saying in a release issued by GTT on Friday.
GTT’s annual Pinktober initiative, which seeks to raise awareness about cancer, was largely organised virtually this year due to the current COVID- 19 pandemic. The company has encouraged donations through the mmg+ app by using code 07693 to assist cancer patients across Guyana.
