Cycling federation Time Trials gets cracking this morning

Curtis Dey will be one to watch as competitive cycling returns today with a Time Trial event which starts from 07:00hrs at Sparendaam. Riders will journey through Kitty, turn at the Roundabout and end at the COVID-19 Hospital, Liliendaal.

The sport of cycling recently got the green light to restart and now all systems are go for today’s Time Trial event.

This is according to Racing Secretary of the Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF), Malcolm Sonaram.

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) accredited Commissaire stated that  today’s race is set to attract in excess of 30 of the nation’s best wheelsmen who are eager to unchain their competitive juices after racing was stuck in park for more than eight months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
