Woman critical after car topples along Soesdyke-Linden Highway

A woman remained critical in the Intensive Care Unit at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) yesterday after a vehicle toppled at Hill Foot Public Road, Soesdyke-Linden Highway on Sunday.

Aaliyah Norton, 23, was said to be seated in the back seat of a car when it toppled and ended up in a trench close by, causing her to suffer injuries to her head.

A Guyana Police Force report stated that the driver of the car, a 23-year-old resident of Second Street, Sandville, Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, was said to be proceeding west along the southern side of the public road at about 8.30 pm, when he alleged that an unknown vehicle, said to be proceeding in the opposite direction, overtook another vehicle and ended up in his path.
