Tommyann Bunbury, the woman who was arrested on Monday after cocaine was found hidden in her luggage at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri was yesterday refused bail after being charged with possession of narcotics for drug trafficking.
Bunbury, 42, who is a mother of seven with addresses in both Guyana and Suriname, appeared before Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Diamond/Grove Magistrate’s Court to answer to the charge.
She pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison until December 23rd, 2020.
