Guyana well represented at FIDE cadets and youth championships

Arysh Raghunauth is already a two-year veteran of the game at 10 years of age. He defeated Bermuda’s Flaganan Daylan and William Antony Salvane. Raghunauth had lost to Daylan in the 2019 Carifta Games in Curacao. He is being tutored by the Indian International Master Atanu Lahiri and is a student at Mae’s Under 12 school.

The World Chess Federation (FIDE) held its online World Cadets and Youth (Under 10-18) Rapid Chess Championships and Guyana was represented in all of the categories.

The boys and girls who represented Guyana were chosen based on their performances in the separate age groups, and who, in some instances, were available at the time of selection.
