Regions Seven and Ten remain areas of interest with the continuing rise of COVID-19 cases in those areas.
Minister of Health Dr Frank Anthony made this disclosure during a recent COVID-19 update where he stated that the main areas of focus are Bartica in Region Seven and Linden in Region Ten. He noted that in Bartica, there were previously over 70 active cases. The number has dropped.
According to the Regional Health Emergency Committee, the region now has a total of 46 active cases with a total of 525 cases being recorded since the initial outbreak in the region. The committee in a press release through the Regional Democratic Council stated that it has been advocating for persons to adjust their behaviour and adhere to the emergency guidelines in place however. Unfortunately however, persons continue to flout these measures.
