Fitz Randolph Josiah was on Wednesday sentenced to 11 ½ years in jail after pleading guilty to the killing of his 14-year-old stepdaughter in 2013.
Josiah, 70, was sentenced by Justice Navindra Singh at the High Court in Georgetown after he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter. He was initially indicted for murder.
Justice Singh ordered that the time spent on remand by Josiah be deducted from his sentence sentencing.
