Retired Assistant Commissioner of Police Heeralall Makhanlall, who had served as Crime Chief and Head of the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), has died.
Makhanlall, 68, died on Wednesday night.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) expressed condolences to the family of Makhanlall, who retired in November, 2007 after providing 33 years of service.
During his tenure, Makhanlall headed several policing divisions.
