In hopes of raising awareness about three-dimensional (3D) painting, artists Conrad Meertins and Winston Alexander recently launched an exhibition which features unique renderings of Guyana’s historical buildings and places of interest.

The art exhibition began on December 15 and will run until January 21 at the Guyana Education Trust College’s Courtyard on Carmichael Street, in Georgetown.

Meertins, a former pilot, told this newspaper that he recently decided to form an Academy of the Arts, which will be launched after the exhibition has concluded. He said that persons wishing to join the academy will be educated in fine arts, craft, dance, music and drama.
