Pensioner dies in fire at Jackson Creek

A fire of unknown origin during the wee hours of yesterday destroyed a wooden house in Jackson Creek, Upper Corentyne resulting in the death of the owner.

Dead is Roy Rajbanse, 61, unemployed, of Jackson Creek, Upper Corentyne. 

Stabroek News,  was told that the now-deceased, who drank heavily, resided in a wooden 10 by 12 one-flat wooden structure with his son, a fisherman, who is presently away at sea.
