A Rose Hall, Corentyne man yesterday escaped after he threatened his ex-wife at the New Amsterdam Police Station, while being armed with two knives.
Commander of Region Six, Senior Superintendent Jairam Ramlakhan, yesterday told Stabroek News, that the man will appear today at the Reliance Magistrate’s Court to be charged with threatening behaviour.
In response to queries concerning the matter, the commander said it was reported to him that the incident happened just outside of the New Amsterdam Police Station and the man was subsequently arrested on the main road in New Amsterdam.
