Region Six sports officer remanded over threats to ex-wife while armed with knives

A Region Six sports officer based within Region Six’s compound was yesterday remanded to prison after he was charged with threatening behaviour and possession of offensive weapons that is to say two knives.

Godwyn Allicock, 42, of Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, appeared before Magistrate Peter Hugh at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court where the charges were read to him.

After he pleaded not guilty he was then remanded to prison. In addition to this, the Magistrate also ordered that the accused undergo a mental evaluation. He is presently at the National Psychiatric Hospital.
