In preparation for the completion of the Tiger Creek Bridge in Region Eight, the Ministry of Public Works (MoPW) on Monday advised that it would only be opened to light vehicular traffic.

“All efforts are currently being made to facilitate opening to all vehicular traffic before December 31, 2020,” a ministry statement said before asking commuters to observe all weight restrictions when crossing the bridge.

According to the statement, motorcycles, cars, vans, sports utility vehicles, four wheel drive vehicles, small buses, small trucks and canters (unladen), light trailers (pig trailers, dog trailers and small semitrailer) along with  single and tandem trucks (Gross Weight Not Exceeding 14 Tonnes) are allowed to cross the bridge.
