The family of a city businessman who is now hospitalized after being struck down by a speeding car on December 26, 2020 is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver and the motorcar that were involved in the accident.
Deodat Ramsamooj, Proprietor of USA Style and Fashion located on America Street, Georgetown and of Eccles, East Bank Demerara was struck down moments are leaving Palm Court on Main Street and is now a patient in the Intensive Care Unit at a private medical facility.
A nephew of the injured man, Nathan Persaud told Stabroek News that the family was at home when they received a call informing them that Ramsamooj had been involved in an accident. He explained that from what was related to the family by a security guard at the night spot, his uncle was walking in the corner of the road heading towards his vehicle.
