Grove woman fatally struck by police bus

A 59-year-old woman of Grove, East Bank Demerara died after being struck yesterday by a minibus owned by the Guyana Police Force.

A statement from the Force said that Dulmattie Boodlall was hit while attempting to cross the Nandy Park Public Road in the vicinity of Shaheed Supermarket at about 7:26 in the morning.

The report notes that at the time the East Bank three-lane was active and the bus which is attached to the Tactical Services Unit was heading North along the western side of the eastern carriageway. It was being driven by a Constable stationed at the unit and attached to former President David Granger.
