A Leonora man has been fined $7,500 after he admitted to driving under the influence, resulting in him crashing into two parked vehicles early on Monday morning.
Andy Deokinandan, 25, of Lot 36 Leonora Pasture, West Coast Demerara, made his appearance before Magistrate Crystal Lambert at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was read to him.
He pleaded guilty to the offence of driving while his breath alcohol level exceeded the prescribed limit. In addition to the fine, his driver’s licence was endorsed.
