Allen focused on getting back to the top

Lennox ‘Too Sharp’ Allen opened camp two weeks ago at the Platinum Gloves Gym for a potential fight late next month or early March. He will begin sparring at the end of January with the goal of getting back into world title contention.

After a tumultuous 2020, a year in which he suffered his first professional defeat, Lennox ‘Too Sharp’ Allen is hoping for a triumphant ring return.

“My goal is to get back to the top this year, that is my main focus,” the Brooklyn-based southpaw told Stabroek Sport yesterday.

He added that the elusive world title is still on his radar.

Allen was on the cusp of a world title shot when he ran into David Morrell last August, suffering his first loss via a unanimous decision. The two boxers had fought for the interim World Boxing Association (WBA) super middleweight title.
