Family of woman killed by police bus calls for transparency

Dulmattie Boodlall’s family before they went out to the spot where she was struck down to host a candlelight vigil and call for justice last evening

Family members of Dulmattie Boodlall, the woman who was struck down at Nandy Park, on the East Bank of Demerara on Tuesday by a Guyana Police Force minibus, are calling for justice and transparency from the police.

Boodlall, 58, of Golden Grove, was on her way to work when she was fatally struck by the minibus as she attempted to cross the highway around 7.26 am on Tuesday.

Boodlall’s relatives on Friday evening hosted a candlelight vigil at the spot where she was struck as they called for justice to be served and for the individual responsible for her death to face the full force of the law.
