Majeed Hussain, a People’s Progressive Party (PPP) Central Committee member, died yesterday morning and he was hailed for both his leadership and the role he played in the fight for democracy during last year’s elections crisis.
Sunday Stabroek was reliably informed that Hussain died as a result of COVID-19 complications.
PPP, in a statement yesterday confirmed Hussain’s death and expressed condolences to his wife, children and relatives.
