Hill Foot taxi driver perishes after crashing into parked truck

A forty-seven-year-old taxi driver died yesterday morning when he drove into a parked lorry along the Soesdyke/Linden Highway.

The deceased has been identified as Lester Williams of Hill Foot, Soesdyke/Linden Highway.

According to a police report, Williams who is the owner of HC 8750 was proceeding north along the western side of the Soesdyke Public Road, East Bank Demerara at a fast rate around 2 am when he lost control and collided with the lorry GNN 5308 which was parked on the western side of the road facing south.
