The Moruca Community Policing Group (CPG) of Region One received a boost to its patrolling capabilities with the handing over on Friday, of an All-Terrain Vehicle and a 40-horsepower engine by Minister of Home Affairs, Robeson Benn.
A Ministry of Home Affairs release yesterday stated that Benn also held an interactive meeting with the newly formed Moruca Community Policing Group (CPG) and members of the Village Council. He remarked that although equipment was donated for crime fighting purposes, it should also be utilised to make the lives of residents better.
