A man on trial for hitting another man in the head with a hammer is now awaiting his sentence after a jury convicted him late yesterday afternoon on a charge of felonious wounding.
After some hours of deliberations, a jury unanimously found Compton Fecker, called ‘Chappy,’ guilty of feloniously wounding Alvin Melville on March 19th, 2015 at Parika, East Bank Essequibo.
Fecker had been indicted for attempted murder or felonious wounding in the alternative.
