Shafeek Mohammed who was accused of the 2016 murder of Ramkarran Mohanlall was yesterday freed after High Court Judge Navindra Singh upheld a no-case submission made by his attorney Latchmie Rahamat.
Mohammed had been indicted for the February 3rd, 2016 murder of Mohanlall at Annandale South, East Coast Demerara.
In directing the jury to formally return a verdict of not guilty, Justice Singh said from the evidence, the now former-accused seemed to have acted in self defence.
