The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors yesterday approved additional financing of US$13.5 million to support the ongoing  Guyana Secondary Education Improvement Project.

This figure is in on top of the original US$10m in 2014.

A release yesterday from the World Bank said that the project, which aims to improve teaching in mathematics and expand enrolment in secondary schools, will “provide equipment and training to support innovative technology-assisted education delivery methods”.
