An undisclosed number of students at the University of Guyana (UG) are expected to face disciplinary action after the university received a “selfie video” showing the students breaching the COVID-19 guidelines.
UG in a press release acknowledged receipt of the video in question late last night stating, “The Administration finds this unfortunate and deeply disturbing and has taken immediate corrective action.”
At present the administration is trying to identify the students involved and once this is done, they will “face disciplinary action under the Acts and Statutes of the University immediately.”
