A pedestrian who succumbed to his injuries at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) last Saturday night, minutes after he was struck down by a motorcycle along the Rupert Craig Highway in the vicinity of the Russian Embassy, was yesterday identified as a long time Adult Basic Education (ABE) tutor at School of the Nations.
Following Saturday’s accident, the Guyana Police Force had sent out a press release requesting the public’s help in identifying the deceased. Yesterday, they were able to identify the victim as 73-year-old Shri Chandra Persaud also known as ‘Max’ of lot 109 ‘B’ Thomas Street, Kitty, Georgetown.
