Tenders were yesterday opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board for the procurement of Transmission Lines and the upgrade of Substations under the Guyana Power & Light (GPL). This project attracted several bids that were around $2 Billion.
Bids were also opened for sea defences along the Mahaicony coast that were jointly estimated to cost over $636 million.
