Two ordered to compensate larceny victim or face jail time

Two Corentyne men who were charged jointly with simple larceny were ordered to compensate the victim with $175,000 or spend six months in prison.

Ganesh Ramlochand also known as ‘Pepsi’, 32, a labourer and Leon Gonsalves also known as ‘Never Please’, 26, a barber, both of Grant 1803 Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, were arrested over the last weekend.

They have since appeared before Magis-trate Alex Moore at the Number 51 Magis-trate’s Court, where they were charged jointly with simple larceny.

The men were ordered to compensate the victim to the tune $175,000 or face six months imprisonment.

They will return to court on March, 10.
