The driver of the lorry in the accident which claimed the life of Murvey Andrew Madhoo was on Monday released on $300,000 bail after he was charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Troy Van Lewis, 34, of Lot 1159 Yarrowkabra Village, Soesdyke/Linden Highway, made his appearance before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Providence Magistrate’s Court where the charge was read to him.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on February 20, in the vicinity of Dora Public Road, Soesdyke/Linden Highway, he drove in a dangerous manner thereby causing the death of Madhoo.
