Twin sisters give birth to babies 13 minutes apart at NA hospital

Amesha Thuesday Grant and Amela Latahsa Thuesday – twin sisters – yesterday gave birth to their babies 13 minutes apart at the New Amsterdam Public Hospital creating history at the regional institution.

Cassidy Miracle Grant, a girl, arrived at 9.10 am, while Myron Kingsley Rajgopaul arrived at 9.23 am yesterday. Both babies weighed just over 3 kilogrammes. They were both delivered by Dr Rafael Roitor and Midwife Leah Clarke.

The sisters were admitted to the regional hospital on February 23rd, when Guyana celebrated its 51st Republic Anniversary.
