Four prisoners burrow out of Lethem lockup

Police were up to last night searching for four prisoners, including two Venezuelan nationals, who escaped from the Lethem Police Station through lockup through a hole they dug in the ground.

The escape occurred sometime between 12.05 am and 7am on Friday.

The Guyana Police Force identified the four men as Jack King Paul, 36, of Kwatamang Village, North Rupununi, Clarence Rodney, 20, of Lethem Central, Yon Rogg Hernandez, 26, called ‘John Roberts,’ who is Venezuelan national of Tabatinga Lethem, and Xarlos Edwards Thomas, 18, also of Tabatinga and also a Venezuelan national.
