Mohabir, of Vriesland, West Bank Demerara, had been diagnosed with end-stage renal failure last year. In a post on its Facebook page, GPHC yesterday said that thanks to the transplant team at the GPHC led by Dr. Kishore Persaud, and interventions by the Government of Guyana and the Ministry of Health, Mohabir was able to successfully receive the treatment and surgery needed to save his life.
