Police probing report by MP Rajkumar of stolen tablet

The police are investigating the alleged theft of an electronic tablet belonging to Opposition Member of Parliament (MP) Haimraj Rajkumar during Friday’s sitting of the National Assembly.

The reported theft is said to have occurred sometime between 10 am last Friday and 8 am on Saturday at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre (ACCC), Liliendaal.

According to a police press release, enquiries revealed that Rajkumar, 54, placed the tablet which is worth $60,000 in his computer bag at ACCC on Friday morning.
