Whim CC captain, Tameshwar Harrinarine receives the Nagamootoo brothers Cup from Natalie Nagamootoo

The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) rolled out a series of one-day grassroots tournaments Sunday with hosts, Chesney, Kennard Memorial CC and Whim CC reigning supreme.

At the Chesney Ground, the hosts walked away with the Narsingh Deonarine Cup following their 57-run win over Sandreef in the final.

After rain curtailed the opening round, the contest was reduced to a 12-over affair. Chesney won the toss and batted,  racing to 168 for five.
