Earlier this week Diana Chapman dropped another power single, “Stage”, which she has submitted for selection in the finals of the Soca Monarch Competition. “Stage” is already playing on airwaves and a video is set to be released next weekend.
“I’m confident the song will be selected for the finals,” Diana said of “Stage”, which was written by her Linden peers Lil Colwyn and Brandon Harding, who also is hoping to make the Soca Monarch finals.
Diana explained that she was not sure she would enter the competition as she had writer’s block and could not come up with a song. Though she has had songwriters compose for her in the past, she usually writes her own songs for competitions.
