Swan woman, 19, stabbed to death after dancing argument

Nineteen-year-old Kameel Calistro of Swan, Kuru Kururu, Soesdkye/Linden Highway was stabbed today at about 3.45 am and subsequently died, the police say.

Enquiries, the police say, disclosed that the victim was at a birth night at  her aunt Shavon Calistro’s Lot 11 Swan, Kuru Kururu residence and was drinking and dancing to music being played from a vehicle that was parked in front of the unfenced yard. At the time, the police say,  there were several others there drinking and dancing. At about 2 pm, the police say that Kristophe Stoll, age 20, of Swan, Kuru Kururu, had an argument about which girl could dance better.

The argument was between Stoll and relatives of the victim which led him to  pull out a knife from the right side of his waist and allegedly attempt to stab  29-year-old Adolph Joseph of 46 Swan, Kuru Kururu who is a cousin of the victim. The knife made a minor laceration to the lower  left side of Joseph’s abdomen.

Calistro intervened and Stoll allegedly stabbed her in the left side of her abdomen. She then collapsed and was rushed to the GPHC where she was pronounced dead on arrival. The body is at the said hospital mortuary awaiting a PME.

Stoll was arrested and a knife was found in his possession. Investigations are in progress.
