A total of 120 persons received COVID-19 vaccinations at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) yesterday.

A GPH staffer told Stabroek News that the exercise, which began last week, is being done in an orderly manner, thereby eliminating the long lines usually seen at the facility.

The official credited this to a sufficient amount of staff working on site.

The official added that while there were no reported issues with the vaccines, some persons can expect to experience minor side effects, such as fever and headaches, afterward.
