Phillip Jhagroo, the murder accused who was one of three inmates who fled the Lusignan Prison last year, was recaptured yesterday.
Jhagroo, called ‘Tanky’, 47, of Lot B3 Goed Intent, Leguan, escaped on November 21, 2020, along with two other inmates, Donald Baird and Mark Emmanuel.
The men reportedly used bedsheets as a makeshift rope to climb over the south western corner of the prison fence, sometime between 1.28am and 1.48am on the day in question.
