Nine firms have pre-qualified to bid to design and build the new Demerara Harbour Bridge and government is hopeful that the selection process will be concluded to allow for construction to begin in the last quarter of the year.
In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Public Works announced that the following firms have been pre-qualified:
