Best graduating medicine and social science students receive Prime Minister’s Medal: Prime Minister Mark Phillips on Friday conferred the Prime Minister’s Medal to two University of Guyana graduates for outstanding performances in Medicine and Social Sciences.  According to the Department of Public Information (DPI), the recipients were the best graduating student in the School of Medicine, Dr Jonelle Europe, and the best graduating student in the Faculty of Social Science with a Degree in Public Management, Desiree Noble. At a ceremony at his office on Friday, Phillips congratulated the pair for their commitment and exceptional performance in spite of the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. UG on Friday held the first of five convocation ceremonies for its 2019/2020 graduating class.
