Region Nine communities will now be able to access the Guyana Learning Channel (GLC) thanks to a Ministry of Education (MoE) initiative.
In a press release on Thursday, the MoE stated that the aim of the project is to improve the delivery of education and the learning experience of children across Guyana.
Accordingly, television sets have been placed in identified schools and will be powered by a solar panel system complete with batteries. A satellite dish completes the system, which will ensure that the GLC can be accessed. Student population size will determine the number of television sets that will be installed.
