Rain halts PSC’s assault on TSC

The covers did not come off at Police Ground on the second day

Overnight showers over the capital city of Georgetown forced the lone Georgetown Cricket Association/GISE/Star Party Rental/Trophy Stall first-division, two-day tournament fixture between Police Sports Club (PSC) and Transport Sports Club (TSC) to end in a draw.

The second day did not see a ball being bowled as the thunderstorm converted the Eve Leary Ground into a virtual pool.

According to match official, Moses Ramnarine, while the rain had stopped temporarily, the threat of it was important to note. He also stated that due to moisture on the wicket and a seepage under the covers, the pitch was unlikely to dry under the conditions.
